Gregory is the most respectful characterin the story. I rate him a 5. It was unfortunate that he had to make the decision to leave Abigial; however, it was the right decision. I'm sure that he did not want a woman to put her self respect aside for the sake of a man. In this case, even if the man was him.
I rate Ivan a score of 4. He seems to be the most neutral party of all the characters. However, I do not agree with Ivan's approach. With him not wanting to be involved or at least give Abigial advice shows that he is an individual who focuses on self. If it doesn't concern him, he doesn't want any part in it.
Slug was the most aggressive of the five characters. I rate him a score of 3. Although he was passionate and sympathetic toward Abigial's story, he handled his end inappropriately. Slug is a dangerous person whom Abigial should have not got herself involved with. He brutally beat Gregory based on the just the information that Abigial told him. He did not choose to hear both sides of the story before he took action.
Sinbad's rating would be a 2. He is what I consider to be a pig. He was not interested in helping Abigial in anyway unless he got something in return. Of all the things he could asked for, he asked for sex. He didn't consider the fact that he might one day need help and that he wouldn't want to have to perform sexual favors to get what he wanted.
As a woman, I am very disappointed in Abigial. I give her the lowest possible score, 1. Abigial degraded herself in many ways. Although she loved Gregory, she should have waited the weeks until the bridge was fixed to see him especially after Sinbad's offer. Abigial lacked patience which caused her to be placed in this situation in the beginning. I would have a little more respect for her if she had at least consulted with Gregory about Sinbad's request. Abigial also saught out for revenge after Gregory left her. This is another reason why she doesn't get any respect from me. It was her decision to make. She must deal with the consequences that follows.

I agree that it was Abigail's impatience that caused the whole problem.
